There is a beauty in the distorted, obscured, and unseen. Even if you can imagine what is missing, the implied has a beauty of its own. The taunt and tease of what you will never see is what entices. Within restriction, we reveal our true selves. Through compression and oppression, we learn the value of our freedom and ourselves. We never truly understand freedom until it is limited. The distortion of our natural world puts into perspective all that we value. It helps us understand all that we don’t have while reflecting and appreciating the beauty in what we do have.
